MARCH DATES TO REMEMBER:

  • Invention Convention Applications due - Tuesday, 3/8
  • Brookville Collections continue until Thursday, 3/10
  • Invention Convention Flipgrid submission due Sunday, 3/13
  • Spring Conferences (Noon dismissal, lunch will be served) - Wednesday, 3/16; Thursday, 3/17; and Friday 3/18
  • Spring Break - Monday, 3/28 - Friday, 4/1 (No school)
IN THE SPOTLIGHT
BROOKVILLE FOOD DRIVE

COUGARS SERVE - We are holding a non-perishable food drive for our sister school, Brookville Elementary, to help with needs for their families over Spring Break.  

Kindergarten - 5th grade will be collecting non-perishable and breakfast items for our friends at Brookville.

6th grade will collect "Stock the Teacher Pantry" items for the teachers.  Please bring non-perishable snacks for the teachers.

Donations will be gathered through March 10th and delivered the morning of March 11th.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!

INVENTION CONVENTION

The 2022 Invention Convention is here!  Apply by TODAY! Inventions can be submitted by a single student, a team of no more than 3 students from the same homeroom or sibling teams.  

Dates to Remember:

  • Apply by March 8th- You can apply here.
  • Inventions are due by March 13th.
  • Winners announced the week ofMarch 21st.

MOUNTAIN BROOK CITY SCHOOLS FOUNDATION TRACK MEET

The Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation Track Meet is right around the corner! The Foundation's Annual Track Meet is open to ALL elementary students in third through sixth grade at Mountain Brook Schools.  You can register here.  

Monday, April 13th at 4pm- 4th through 6th Grades

Tuesday, April 14th at 4pm- 3rd and 5th Grades

The meet will be held at Mountain Brook High School's Spartan Stadium Track.

LOST AND FOUND ITEMS

It's that time again, to come check the Lost and Found!  Please stop by Wednesday and Thursday of THIS week to look through the items.  It will all be outside of the gym.  You will not need to come into school.  It will go to Brookville this FRIDAY!  

THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING THE BLOOD DRIVE

Thank you to everyone who participated in the blood drive. We had a total of 21 units donated from Crestline and 20 units donated from Cherokee Bend.  That will help cover 100 people!  Whether you donated, tried, or helped support by getting the word out, it sure helped.  

The wife of Officer Robert Bennett, one of the three Birmingham police officers slain in June of 2004, was present and was very appreciative of your efforts in celebrating what would have been his 50th birthday.  Thank you for your support!

WHY DO YOU LOVE MOUNTAIN BROOK

Let's celebrate this city!  Mayor Welch is sponsoring a contest for all ages to enter- "Why Do You Love Mountain Brook".  You can submit your email to contest@mtnbrook.org.. Include your name (and age if a student). Winners will receive $25 in Village Gold!  Visit www.mtnbrook.org to view all of the responses!   

CRESTLINE CHARACTER TRAIT

Each month Crestline focuses on one character trait.  March's trait is COOPERATION. Cooperation is working together to do more than you can do alone. The students will learn about cooperation in counseling and the trait will be incorporated in their growth and learning.
