IN THE SPOTLIGHT

 

2020 INVENTION CONVENTION

Inventions are in! Can't wait to see how our students creatively solve problems. All inventors will receive a certificate of participation and Hershey Bar.
 
IMPORTANT DATES
Monday, March 9th: Submission Forms due
Wednesday, March 11th: Invention Due.
Thursday, March 12th: 8:30 – 10:00 Students share their inventions with judges.
Friday, March 13th: Classrooms visit the Invention Convention
Friday,March 13th at Noon- Pick up inventions and take them home. 
 
 

Attention 1st and 3rd Grade!

 Please bring non-perishable food items for our sister school, Brookville Elementary. We will be collecting these items Monday, March 2 - Thursday, March 12. Student Council will deliver the food to Brookville on Friday, March 13.

CARPOOL REMINDERS!

Just a few reminders as we get back into the swing of things this semester

  • Please do not drop off or pick up in the Regions parking lot--The bank has asked us to please be diligent about this request
  • ELM ST. & MEADOWBROOK: remember- the RIGHT side of both streets is for DROP OFF ONLY in the mornings. If you need to park for any reason, lease park on the LEFT side of the street and use the crosswalk. If your child requires help exiting the vehicle, we suggest dropping off at the front of the school where attendants are there to assist. Thanks for your help in making our mornings run smoothly!
 

MBCS FOUNDATION TRACK MEET

THURSDAY MAY 14th

The Foundations’ annual Track Meet is open to all elementary students in third through sixth grades at Mountain Brook schools. All proceeds from the Track Meet benefit the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation. In 2019, the Track Meet raised over $50,000 for the Foundation and our schools.

6th Grade Parents' Night Out: ï»¿The 6th Grade Parents' Night Out will be held on Thursday, April 9th at 6:00 p.m. at the home of Shauna and Jason Hard. More info to come!

 

4th Grade Mom's Night Out: The 4th Grade Mom's Night Out will be held on April 15th at Golden Age Wine. More info to come!

CRESTLINE LIBRARY: The Crestline Library relies on parent volunteers to help shelve books that are checked in each week. Volunteering in the library is a flexible commitment and is an easy way to get involved. The librarians are so appreciative of the support that comes from the volunteers! Sign up to help HERE
