IN THE SPOTLIGHT
VETERANS DAY CELEBRATION

Join us for Crestline's Salute to Veterans Celebration Tour! This was a great way to honor our veterans last year, and we look forward to reminding our veterans how much we appreciate them.  Veterans will convene at Mountain Brook Baptist Church and drive by Crestline, while students and faculty cheer for them.  The parade is scheduled for Wednesday, November 10th, with a rain date of November 12th.  Veterans will gather at 9:15am and the parade will begin at 9:45am.

CANNED FOOD AND HALLOWEEN CANDY DRIVE

COUGARS SERVE by donating to our sister school, Brookville Elementary! 3rd - 6th Grade- Canned food and breakfast items will be collected October 25th - November 4th. Donation boxes can be found throughout the school. 

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade- Halloween candy will be collected November 1st - 4th.  Brookville uses the candy for student incentives. Please place your donations in the boxes in each classroom.

LEGO TIME

Calling all 2nd and 3rd graders!  It's Lego Time at CES!  Join us beginning November 2nd - January 25th after school until 4pm. Students will meet in Crestline's Collaboratory. Click here to sign up. The first20 students to join will be part of the class through January 25th. A second class will start up in March.  

MOUNTAIN BROOK GIRLS SOCCER CAMP

Mountain Brook High School Girls Soccer is hosting a youth soccer camp on Veteran's Day, Thursday, November 11th from 9am - 1pm. The camp will be held at Mountain Brook High School upper soccer field.  Pizza lunch and t-shirt included. Please register by Wednesday, October 27th to guarantee a t-shirt.  You can register here

THE PIG FOP 5K RUN

The Mountain Brook Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 78 will be hosting The Pig Run- 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on November 6th.  The 5K will start at 8am and the Fun Run will start approximately at 8:30am.  The participants will gather at the front steps of Crestline Elementary.  You can sign up by clicking here.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Prescott House, a child advocacy center.  The race is sponsored by the Piggly Wiggly.  

MISS OLYMPIAN PAGEANT

Save the date for the 2021 Miss Olympian Pageant- Saturday, November 20th at 7pm. Tickets will be available on Monday, November 15th through the MBHS website.  

MOUNTAIN BROOK CITY SCHOOLS FOUNDATION

Did you know? A long-term initiative of the Mountain Brook City Schools Foundation is to help fund the school system's expanding technology budget.  For the 2020-2021 school year, the Foundation allocated $240,000 to purchase tools such as Chromebooks for all Mountain Brook teachers and students as well as Google Suite for teacher and student use.  For more information about the Foundation, visit www.MBGives.org.
